On Thursday, January 23, 2020, the concert "Our Song for Angola" took place for the 17th time in Klagenfurt at the Konzerthaus. The association InitiativAngola has again invited many children's choirs to collect donations for children in Angola. Invited were the Kindergarten OUR CHILD (Irena Brežjak), the elementary school Hermagoras (Tatjana Tolmaier), the school choir of the Montessori school "LERNRAUM KIDS" (Heike Dobernigg), the elementary school 24 (Veronika Stern) and the school choir of the VS. ST. Ursula and the MUSIK.EXPERIMENTE Gruppe! (Edeltraud Hirm). Paulos Worku was enriching the concert with the African rhythms. On this evening a lot of guests could be welcomed. Among other points of the concert, Vanny, our guest from Angola, spoke about his life and his education in Benguela. He thanked the association IniciativAngola for its long-lasting support. With the help of the IA, he was able to complete his studies at the sports university. Today he is a sports teacher and professional dancer. The net proceeds of the concert, amounting to € 3,823.75, will be donated to the school in Quitila, Angola.
