Exceptional projects, creative ideas, and exemplary commitment in the field of extracurricular youth work were recognized by Youth Minister Claudia Bauer on March 23, 2026, in Vienna with the 10th Austrian Youth Award.

IniciativAngola received the award for enabling young people from across Europe to volunteer within the association as part of the European Solidarity Corps (ESC) program. The justification stated: “A strong sign of global solidarity: volunteers engage in workshops and charity events in the areas of human rights, sustainability, and social justice—while also developing their own personal growth.”

The award was accepted by the association’s chairman, Hanzej Rosenzopf, and the current volunteer, Antonio, from Spain.
